Stock Re-order levels in Asaan Retail help businesses maintain a sustainable inventory level to refrain from facing supply-chain blocks or shortage issues. The Stock-Re-order level feature notifies you to generate purchase orders for a particular item if its quantity falls below a predefined threshold quantity.

This guide will discuss how to set Stock Re-order Levels in Asaan Retail.

You can define Stock Re-order levels for a particular product in Asaan Retail while adding a new product to your Asaan Retail product profile.

Steps

To define or change Stock Re-order levels in Asaan Retail for the existing products based on their demand or order frequency:

Step 1: Log in to Asaan Retail

Step 2: Hover your cursor to the flyout menu on the left and click on the Inventory Tab. From the dropdown menu, click the Products tab.

Step 3: In the new window, click on the Product name that you want to change Re-order stock levels. For instance, in the example below, click the Waterproof camp with a Sellable quantity of 8 items in stock.

Step 4: Its current Re-order stock level is 4. You can change it by clicking on the Edit tab at the top-right corner of the pop-up window.

Step 5: In the edit tab, change the Re-order stock level from 4 to 7. Click on the Update button.

For now, your Re-order stock level is 7 and the sellable product quantity is 8. If we generate a sales order for 2 waterproof camps. The product will be categorized as low-in-stock.

Consider the following sales order for 2 waterproof camps.

Since the order status is pending the product is not yet listed as low-in-stock. Reason being:

1. When order is in pending state, sellable inventory is not deducted. Hence, it is still showing 8 units
2. Instead, the order inventory starts showing up in ‘Outgoing’ state, hence, 2 units. Which previously showed zero before creating a sales order.
   
   

Mark the order status as Ready to ship > Shipped.

The inventory products profile (Which was previously showing 3 products) has started showing 2 products in stock.

Your product Waterproof camp is now listed under the Low Stock tab with sellable quantity (6) below the Re-order stock level of 7.

You can now adjust the stock by:

• Creating a purchase order for inventory products.
• Manually Adjust the stock for inventory products.
• Transfer stock from your other locations to your current location.
