Overview

Bundling in Asaan Retail allows you to sell your individual products in the form of a ‘Bundle’ or ‘Kit’.

Bundling is an inventory management technique that involves two or more complementary goods or services as a package.

In Asaan Retail each bundle/kit offers a ‘master SKU’, which is different from the individual SKUs of bundled products. In Asaan Retail, you can automate the process of varying product quantities sold as a bundle without any need to change their quantity in your inventory manually (for items sold as stand-alone inventory products or in kit/bundles).

It’s an easy and efficient way to offer different products as bundle items without handling complex inventory changes for each product in the bundle.

You can also sync your bundle products to third-party sales channels like Daraz, Shopify, or WooCommerce. It will help you manage inventory for bundled items available as an offer or kit on your different sales channels.

For instance, you are selling three inventory products: Waterproof Camp, Tactical Torch, and Alpinebear Travel Bag individually.

You can see the sellable quantities of each product as:

  • Tactical Torch - 5
  • Alpinebear Travel Bag - 5
  • Waterproof Camp - 10

Create a bundle product as ‘Traveling Gear - Bundle Offer’ with a single quantity of each item.

You can see the sellable quantity of the bundle/kit is the same as the quantity of product(s) with the ‘lowest’ inventory stock. i.e; Tactical Torch and Alpine Bear Bag (5 Each).

This feature spares your time and effort from manually adjusting the stock of the bundle.

For instance, if you reduce the sellable quantity of Waterproof camps from 10 to 4.

The sellable quantity of the bundled product ‘Traveling Gear - Bundle Offer’ will be reduced to ‘4’ as well (automatically).

Create Sales Orders for a Bundle Product and Track Inventory

For instance, you create a sales order for the bundle/kit “Traveling Gear” having 3 products.

  • Water Proof Camp
  • Tactical Torch
  • Alpinebear Travel Bag

The quantities of all the products included in a bundle or kit are set to the borderline of Re-order threshold levels, that is:

  • 5 for Tactical Torch

  • 5 for Alpinebear Bag

  • 4 for Waterproof Camp

As soon as you mark the sales order “Shipped”, the products will disappear from the products tab and move to the “Low in Stock” tab.  Similarly, the sellable quantity of the “Adventure Gear” kit/bundle will also reduce to 3 (As that of the product with the ‘lowest’ inventory among all bundles products. i.e; Waterproof camp)

Products listed in the bundle moved from the Products profile to the Low-in-Stock profile.

Products as listed under the “Low in Stock'' tab with sellable quantities reduced to 4, 4, and 3 for Tactical Torch, Aplinebear Travel Bag, and Waterproof Camp, respectively.

If you mark the sales order status as “Restocked” for the returned orders.

The sellable quantities of your individual products and bundle will be rollbacked to the previous stock.

Restocked quantities of bundle/kit:

Restocked quantities of individual products:

Similarly, if you create a sales order for an individual product in the Kit/Bundle, the inventory levels of the bundle will keep changing automatically (depending on the availability of stock and re-order threshold of the bundled products).

Create Purchase Order for Inventory Product and Track Inventory

For instance, you create a purchase order for 4 Waterproof Camps.

(Learn How to Create & Manage Purchase Orders in Asaan Retail)

As soon as you mark the Shipment Status of your purchase order “Fulfilled”:

The sellable quantity (Inventory Stock Level) of Waterproof Camp will increase from 4 to 8.

Similarly, the sellable quantity of the bundle/kit “Adventure Gear” will change to 5. It was previously determined by the sellable quantity of Waterproof Camp (for having the least inventory stock compared to the other products in the bundle). Now, it's determined by the sellable quantities of either Tactical Torch or Aplinebear Travel Bag (both having the lowest stock and sellable quantities of 5).

To link your bundle/kit item to the third-party store (For instance WooCommerce) by:

Step 1: Go to the Bundle tab in the Products profile.

The current sellable stock of the bundle named “Harry Potter Complete Collection” is 50.

Step 2: Click on the “+” sign under the “Linked to’ column for the bundle you want to map with the third party.

Step 3: In the pop-up window, select your third-party store and enter the product ID (In the case of WooCommerce) or Variant ID (in the case of Shopify store) and Product SKU for the Daraz store. Then, click on the “+Create Mapping” button.

Your product mapping will be completed successfully. Now,

  1. Log in to your WooCommerce store
  2. Click on the Products option from the side menu.
  3. Type product name or product ID (302) in the search bar.

The product on WooCommerce is showing stock quantity as 50.

Learn how to search for products and their product ID in your Shopify store.

The current inventory level for all the bundled products is 50.

All seven books listed in the bundle have a sellable quantity of 50. For instance, if we change the sellable quantity of any one of them to 10, the stock availability of the bundle will reduce to 10 as well (as it is determined by the product having the lowest stock).

Consider the example below where the sellable quantity of a product named “Harry Potter Part 2” is reduced to 10.

The sellable quantity of the Bundle (having the product named Harry Potter Part 2) is also reduced to 10 although all the rest bundle products share the same stock count as 50 (Except Harry Potter Part 2 with stock changed to 10).

To Sync product quantity on your store:

Step 1: Select the product and click on the ‘More’ button on the top-left corner of the screen. Then, Click on the ‘Sync Product Quantity’ option from the drop-down menu.

Step 2: In the pop-up menu, select your WooCommerce store and set the products option to ‘Selected’. Then, click on the ‘Sync’ button.

Now check your WooCommerce product, its stock quantity will be changed to 10 (Which was previously showing 50).

You can also automate the process of syncing the product’s quantity by enabling the “Sync Stock to WooCommerce” function in the WooCommerce integration panel. After doing so, Asaan Retail will automatically sync the inventory levels to WooCommerce after every 15 Minutes (for the entire stock).
