Locations Management - Add, Edit, or Deactivate

Locations in Asaan Retail represent the physical locations of your inventory based in different cities, areas, or regions. Configuring your locations enables you to use the Reorder Threshold feature for separate inventory locations, and get notified when products need to be restocked in a particular store. Furthermore, you can also transfer stock from one location to another.   

Setting up a location

Step-1: Log in to the Asaan Retail portal.

Step-2: Hover your cursor to the flyout menu on the right and click on the Settings tab.



Step 3: Click on the third tab “Configurations” from the top menu bar.



Step 4: In the new window, click on “Manage Locations”.



Step 5: In the pop-up window, click on the button “Add New Address”.



Step 6: Enter location name, contact number, and address. Then click “Submit”.


Edit a Location

You can edit your location’s name, contact number, and address.

To delete a location follow these steps.

Step-1: Hover your cursor to the flyout menu on the right and click on the Settings tab.



Step 2: Click on the third tab “Configurations” from the top menu bar.



Step 3: In the new window, click on “Manage Locations”.

Step 4: Click on the edit icon in front of the location you want to edit.

Step 5: Make necessary changes.

Step 6: Click Submit.

You can also access settings by searching “settings” from the search bar on the top.



Switch Location

To switch your location in Asaan Retail:

Step 1: Click on the setting icon at the top right corner of the screen

Step 2: From the drop-down menu, click on the ‘Switch Location’ option (you are only allowed to access the locations that your system administrator has authorized you to access)



Step 3: Click on the drop-down menu under the new location field.



Step 4: Choose a new location. Then, click Switch.

Filter dashboard data based on locations

To get a record of KPIs available on the dashboard for a particular location(s):

Step 1: On the dashboard screen, choose your desired location(s).

Step 2: Click on the Filter button



You will be displayed a customized record of your KPIs with different widgets for the location(s) you choose.

PS: You can also add multiple locations to fetch a combined record of different inventory locations
