Hi, today we'll discuss the issue related to the Shopify orders not importing with the error "[API] This action requires merchant approval for read orders scope". You may face this error when importing your orders from Shopify.

In order to resolve this, you've got to perform the following steps:

1) Go to https://accounts.shopify.com/store-login to access your Shopify Backend store.

2) Select the settings from the screen on the left side of the screen.

2)Then, click on the "Apps and Sales Channels" from the left hand side flyout menu.

3) Click on "Develop Apps" beside the "Customize your Store" button.

4) Choose the APP you created when you integrated your website with the software.

5) Click on the configuration tab.

6) Then, click on the "Edit" button.

7) Scroll down the screen and check your permissions. As you can see here, you haven't given the rights to the orders (read and write orders). Select both of the fields or checkboxes.

8) Scroll down the screen and save it.

9) Once the changes have been saved, Open the sales order screen on Asaan Retail. Re-import the orders by clicking on the "More" dropdown from the left hand side of the screen.

10) The orders will be successfully imported into the software.
