How to integrate and ship order with TCS

Overview

Courier integration in Asaan Retail helps you automate your order fulfillment process and push delivery status to your Shopify or WooCommerce marketplace (if Order Status Sync is enabled). By integrating courier service with your Asaan Retail platform you can ensure smooth and hassle-free sales cycles without any need to manually change the order status in Asaan Retail or different sales fronts.

Some of the significant features and use cases of integrating courier with your Asaan Retail account include:

  • Keep order statuses synced on Shopify or Woocommerce stores.
  • Send SMS and email updates of order status to customers.
  • Reconcile payments and finances with the courier.
  • Track real-time order status & shipment status
  • Bulk booking with Couriers
  • Print shipping labels & invoices in bulk

How to get TCS API details for integration?

Step 1: Login on https://developer.tcscourier.com/login with your username and password



Step 2: Go to the ‘API Keys’> Choose “Products” on the TCS dashboard (If you have already generated an API against the application.



You need to create an Application (if not set up already).

Step 1: Go to the ‘API Keys’>Applications. Enter ‘Application Title’ and ‘Application Description’.



Step 2: Copy the ‘Client ID’ generated against your application.



Step 3: Subscribe to all the API Products i.e: 

  • COD APIs
  • Ship4Me APIs
  • Tracking APIs
  • Time in Transit APIs



Step 4: Setup Cost Center on https://envio.tcscourier.com/Costcenter/Setup. Select ‘Setup’ from the top drop-down and select ‘Cost Center’.



Step 5: Create a cost center (if not set up already). Select your account, and enter:

  •  cost center city (your warehouse city)
  •  cost center code
  • cost center name (can be anything)
  • phone number
  • email 
  • pickup address
  • return address

How to integrate your TCS COD account?

Step-1: Log in to the Asaan Retail portal.

Step-2: Hover your cursor to the flyout menu on the left and click the settings icon (3rd from the bottom).



Or you can access settings by typing Settings in the search bar on the top.

Step 3: In the new window, click on the Integrations tab.



Step 4: Scroll down and find the TCS courier panel. Click on the TCS courier panel.



Step 5: In the pop-up window, enter your:

  • Account Nickname - Mandatory
  • Email - Optional
  • Mobile no - Optional
  • Landline no - Optional
  • Address - Optional 
  • API Details
    • Username - Mandatory
    • Password - Mandatory
    • API Key - Mandatory
    • Cost Center Code - Mandatory
    • Origin City - Mandatory



Turn on Auto Sync to fetch the delivery status from TCS and update the order status in Asaan Retail and Third parties like Shopify or Woocommerce.

Step 6: After entering all your details and API attributes, click on Test Connection.

Step 7: If the connection establishes successfully, click on the Save button and your TCS COD account will be integrated successfully.

How to Ship an Order with TCS?

Step 1: Create a sales order and update the delivery status to RTS.

Step 2: Select the order(s) and click on the “Bulk Actions” button on the right. Then, click on “Book with the courier” from the drop-down menu.



Step 3: In the pop-up window, choose the courier using the name you saved as your courier account. Then, click “Book”.



Your order will be booked with the courier.



Note: If it fails to book couriers successfully, check the notification bar and download the report to identify the error(s). Fix the error(s) as directed (such as missing shipping data, missing parcel/product(s) weight, the order in the pending state, etc).

Step 4: Complete the sales order lifecycle manually or Sync with the courier.

You also book the order with a courier individually by clicking on the order number > Courier tab > Select the courier > click the ‘Select’ button.

 

Fill in the Shipment Details (Consignee Details and Parcel Details):



Fill in the ‘Consignee Phone Number’, ‘Consignee Email’, and other details under Consignee Details. If not available, enter ‘N/A’.



Fill in the ‘Weight (KG)’, ‘Product Details’, and ‘Remarks’ under Parcel Details. If not available, enter ‘N/A’.



On successful booking, you will be assigned ‘Tracking ID’.



You can also check the current status of the shipment and cancel the booking by clicking on the order number > Courier tab. For instance:
